My Son and The Cherry Blossom Trees

I first heard about the cherry blossom trees in Harrogate back in 2017. I was going past The Stray on the 36 bus and saw them in full bloom, loads of them. It was an outstanding sight. Regrettably, I was not fully committed to that type of photography and I did not go back until 2018.

I can’t remember exactly when I was reminded about the blossom trees again. But I know it was sometimes in 2018 when I was looking through the Yorkshire Evening Post. I think they were doing a story about it or someone sent in an image of the trees. But it set off my thoughts again and I knew I had to go and snap some photos of them.

If you believe in fate, well this is a moment when fate came into play. My wife had just given birth to my 3rd child a week earlier and for some reason we both decided to go to Harrogate. Then the below photo was born.

Fast forward almost a year later and here we are again at The Stray. It is amazing to see how much he has grown and I can not wait to see what he is going to be like in another years time.
